Welcome to Category of One (“Website”), operated by Education Avenue (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), located at Gheorghe Țițeica 142, Floor 1, Bucharest, Romania.

By accessing or using our Website and purchasing our products or services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before making any purchase.

1. Definitions

• “Services”refers to online courses, masterclasses, workshops, educational programs, and any digital content offered through the Website.
• “User”, “you”, or “your”refers to any individual or entity accessing the Website or purchasing Services.
• “Content”refers to all materials, including but not limited to videos, audio recordings, documents, presentations, workbooks, and any other educational materials provided as part of our Services.

2. Account Registration and Eligibility

2.1. To purchase our Services, you may be required to provide accurate and complete registration information.

2.2. You must be at least 18 years of age or the age of majority in your jurisdiction to use our Services.

2.3. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

2.4. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

3. Purchase and Payment

3.1. All prices are displayed in the currency selected at checkout (USD, EUR, RON) and include applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.

3.2. Payment is processed securely through Stripe. By making a purchase, you agree to Stripe’s terms of service.

3.3. Upon successful payment, you will receive confirmation via email along with access instructions to your purchased Services.

3.4. We reserve the right to modify prices at any time. Price changes will not affect orders already confirmed.

4. Refund and Cancellation Policy

4.1. Digital Products and Online Courses

Our online courses, masterclasses, and educational programs are digital products that provide immediate or scheduled access to proprietary educational content. Due to the nature of digital products:

• The content of each module can be accessed during the live session at the scheduled date and time. After the live broadcast has ended, the recorded session will remain available for viewing for a period of 365 days from the date of the module.
• It is impossible to “return” digital content once accessed
• Our intellectual property is delivered upon granting access

All sales of digital products are final. Once access to a course or digital content has been granted, no refunds will be issued except in the limited circumstances described below.

4.2. Limited Exceptions for Digital Products

Refunds may be considered only in the following circumstances:

Note: Dissatisfaction with course content, teaching style, or personal expectations does not qualify for a refund if the course is delivered as described.

4.3. Live Workshops and Events

Cancellation by Participant:

The Consumer has the right to withdraw from the distance contract within 14 calendar days from the date of purchase, without providing any reason and without incurring any penalties. If this right is exercised, all amounts paid will be refunded in full within 30 days from the receipt of the withdrawal notice.

For programs that include live courses scheduled on fixed dates, the Client acknowledges and agrees that, if they request to begin participation before the expiration of the withdrawal period, they will lose the right of withdrawal for the live sessions already delivered up to the moment of withdrawal.

Cancellation by Education Avenue:

If we cancel a workshop or event, you will receive a full refund within 30 business days, or you may choose 100% credit toward a future event. We are not responsible for any travel, accommodation, or other expenses you may have incurred.

Participant Substitution: You may transfer your workshop registration to another person by notifying us at least 7 days before the event.

4.4. Bundled Programs and Payment Plans

For bundled programs (e.g., DIF Full Course Package), the bundle is considered a single purchase. Partial refunds for individual components are not available.

If you are on a payment plan, cancellation does not stop future payment obligations. All remaining payments remain due regardless of whether you complete the program.

4.5. Promotional Codes and Discounts

Purchases made with promotional codes or discount coupons are subject to the same refund policy. If a refund is approved, only the actual amount paid will be refunded. Coupon codes are non-refundable and cannot be converted to cash value.

4.6. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund (where eligible), email us at office@dla.dental with subject line: “Refund Request – [Your Order Number]” and include: – Your full name and email address used for purchase – Order number or transaction ID – Date of purchase and product/service purchased – Detailed reason for refund request

We will acknowledge your request within 3 business days and provide a decision within 7 business days. Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 30 business days.

4.7. Chargebacks

We strongly encourage you to contact us directly before initiating a chargeback with your bank. If you initiate a chargeback without first contacting us, your access to all purchased content will be immediately suspended, and we will provide documentation to the payment processor including proof of purchase, your acceptance of Terms and Conditions (with IP address), and evidence of content access.

4.8. EU Consumer Rights – Waiver of Withdrawal Right

Under EU consumer law, you generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal. However, this right does not apply to digital content once delivery has begun with your prior express consent.

By purchasing our digital courses and confirming your acceptance of immediate access, you expressly consent to begin delivery immediately and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once access is granted.

5. License and Access to Content

5.1. Upon purchase, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and view the Content for your personal, non-commercial, educational purposes.

5.2. Access to online courses and recorded content is typically provided for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase, unless otherwise specified at the time of purchase.

5.3. You may NOT: – Copy, reproduce, distribute, or publicly display any Content – Share your login credentials with others – Download, record, or capture Content unless explicitly permitted – Use Content for commercial purposes or resale – Modify, adapt, or create derivative works from the Content – Remove any copyright or proprietary notices from the Content

5.4. Violation of these terms may result in immediate termination of your access without refund.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1. All Content, including but not limited to course materials, videos, graphics, logos, trademarks, and text, is the exclusive property of Education Avenue or its licensors and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.

6.2. The “Dental Identity Framework™”, “DIF™”, “Category of One™”, and related marks are trademarks of Education Avenue.

6.3. No part of the Content may be used without our prior written consent.

7. User Conduct

7.1. You agree to use our Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

7.2. You agree NOT to: – Use the Services in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations – Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Services – Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services – Harass, abuse, or harm other users or Company personnel – Post or transmit any defamatory, offensive, or inappropriate content

8. Workshops and Live Events

8.1. Registration for workshops and live events is binding upon payment confirmation.

8.2. Workshop dates, times, and locations are subject to change. We will notify registered participants of any changes as soon as reasonably possible.

8.3. Attendance at workshops may be recorded for educational and promotional purposes. By attending, you consent to such recordings.

9. Data Collection and Consent Verification

9.1. When you accept these Terms and Conditions, we record and store the following information as proof of your acceptance: – Your IP address – Date and time of acceptance – The version of Terms accepted – Your email address and name (if provided)

9.2. This information is stored securely and may be used to verify your consent in case of disputes.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

10.1. Our Services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

10.2. We do not guarantee that: – The Services will meet your specific requirements or expectations – The Services will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free – The results obtained from using the Services will be accurate or reliable – Any specific business, career, or financial outcomes will be achieved

10.3. The educational content is for informational purposes only and does not constitute professional medical, legal, or business advice.

11. Limitation of Liability

11.1. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Education Avenue shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill.

11.2. Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to these Terms or our Services shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific Service giving rise to the claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Education Avenue, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Services or violation of these Terms.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

13.1. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Romania.

13.2. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our Services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bucharest, Romania.

13.3. For EU consumers: You may also be entitled to use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

14. Modifications to Terms

14.1. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on the Website.

14.2. Your continued use of the Services after any modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14.3. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Education Avenue regarding your use of our Services.
